Our Lab Results
Most brands ask you to trust the label. We'd rather show you the results.
We started Kindred Naturals after a baby wash sold as "the cleanest on the market" gave our daughter hives. Since then, "trust us" hasn't been good enough for our family. So it isn't good enough for yours either.
Before our products reach your bathroom, we send them to independent labs. Here's exactly what they tested and what they found.
Test 01
Dermatologist patch testing
What it is: A small amount of product is sealed against the skin for 48 hours under a patch. A dermatologist then scores the skin for redness, dryness, and swelling at 30 minutes, 1 hour, 24 hours, and 48 hours after removal. It's one of the toughest skin tolerance tests a cosmetic can go through.
Who was tested: 20 adult volunteers, ages 20 to 70, every one of them with sensitive skin.
Who ran it: QACS Lab, an independent testing laboratory in Greece.
Kindred Bloom · 2-in-1 Shampoo & Body Wash
Non-irritant
Irritation score: 0.05 (0 to 0.08 is rated non-irritant)
18 of 20 volunteers showed no reaction at all. Two showed only minimal, doubtful redness.
Tested November 2025
The Nightly Reset · Magnesium Body Cream
Non-irritant
Irritation score: 0.00
Zero reactions in all 20 volunteers. Not one. Tested at full strength, since it's a leave-on cream.
Tested April 2026
Test 02
Purity testing
What it is: A lab checks a sample of the finished product for bacteria, mold, and yeast, using international ISO testing standards for cosmetics.
Who ran it: Komihris Analytical Centre, an accredited independent testing laboratory.
Kindred Bloom
Nothing detected
Below the lab's detection limit, and well under the stricter limit used for children's products.
The Nightly Reset
Nothing detected
Below the lab's detection limit.
Test 03
Every ingredient, explained
Kindred Bloom's ingredients were checked against California Prop 65, the IARC carcinogen list, EWG Skin Deep, and the FDA's prohibited ingredients list.
Every ingredient is listed on our product pages. If you ever want to know why something is in the bottle, ask us. We'll explain it, personally.
Why we do this
The US bans 11 ingredients in skincare. Other countries ban over 1,300. Words like "gentle," "natural," and "baby" have no legal definition, so anyone can print them.
We'd rather prove it.
Two parents. One kitchen table. Every result, out in the open.
